Well, it's Thursday and we sent our students home at lunch so that we could meet as a faculty and get some tech training. Afterwards I drove up the coast through Bodega Bay to Jenner and up the Russian River to my cabin. I got in two hours of work (prep for a big work day this Saturday) and headed for the barn. Tomorrow I have to take the day off and get my medical exam for the MTP (God, I hope I pass!). At the end of the day Carol and I will be out in Bodega Bay for a reception for the Green family. They're in town for the weekend Fishermen's Festival (The Nicolas Effect) and are old friends of mine. Sunday I'll be on the lead boat for the Blessing of the Fleet, but none of my students wanted to participate in the bathtub races this year (their loss!). We have next week to sort out all this videoteleconferencing and insect collecting, due to Spring Break beginning next Friday. It's always something. We got some great new accounts today with NetTrekker and Atomic Learning. It's all part of this "spotlight on rural education". I'm keen to start using this resource. I think there is something in there for everybody. Check it out. Best, Jim McElroy
