It is truly amazing to see how fast our students are learning to write and speak Japanese. It is also a sight to see over one hundred students gather together in our Large Instruction Room each Friday at McClelland. Yes, we do encounter some technological difficulty, but the enthusiasm shown among our students is worth every effort to make it work.
So far, we have learned to greet each other according to the time of the day, count from one to twelve, to say different colors in Japanese. We also learned how to say various sports in Japanese. Our Morizuka and Hara senseis were surprised to learn that so many of our students love baseball.
We are ever so grateful to Japan Fulbright Master Teacher Program for providing us with such opportunity.

Congratulations to you and your students! It really is amazing to see how quickly children learn things that take much longer for adults! Lynn
