We are enjoying the bug reports we've seen so far. Today we hope to enjoy visiting with our Japanese sister school in Matsuyama. They are probably sound asleep now because it's 8:30 PST. Students here need to be seated and ready to go at 8:10 and that's pretty tough on me. I spent 28 years in elementary and I am hard wired to start teaching at 8:30. No matter how early I get to campus (and my truck is usually one of the first in the parking lot) those big yellow busses roll in and shock me on a daily basis. We will try Cassidy Butler's hashi contest with beans and bowls this afternoon. Students will be sharing some Japanese vocabulary they've been learning since last month. I hope they don't need their cheat sheets. We'll see soon. Carol will be out to join the fun today. She was nursing till past midnight last night, so we don't expect her till around 11:00. She hasn't seen our pond construction yet, nor has she met any of the new students this year. I have some refreshments (popcorn, hot cider, wasabi peas and something called "Seven Bits". She'll probably bring things that are more "healthlicious". I took some photos over the weekend and hope they'll post here. Size is always an issue. Cheers, Jim P.S. Nope, my shots are than the 1000K allowed in xoops. I need to figure out how to size them down or set the camera. With the Apple it's easy because iPhoto does it up front when the photos are e-mailed.
