Final video conference was good, but filled with technological problems.
That was most frustrating and disappointing. My students are sad that the experience is over. Many tears today in class. They hated to say goodbye. The experience has changed them forever. Best of all we seem to have garnered another pledge of cash for the Kashiwagi-Bellwood teacher exchange..too early to say for sure. And Keita, one of my translators from Kushiro, is here in Murfreesboro in my classroom. He is teaching classes about Japan and soon we plan to have the "Kieta Saito Show"...where he instructs the entire school in a word or phrase a day. He also learned, last night, that he has an 80% chance of becoming a teacher in Kushiro...seems he is in high demand! I can see why. Pictures to follow - not much sleep lately due to the gala event. Wait until you see the decorations and events we had. Was fun! Cynthia
