Jane,
I'm sorry to hear that your plants died as well. Our second batch is sprouting and they are much heartier than the first. Maybe the untimely death of the plants was a hidden blessing. We have about 20 plants now and only had 4 the first time. As a back up, we ordered more seeds. (just in case... ) One of our science teachers suggested that we try planting them in good potting soil because the dirt from our property is rather poor. We will do this and compare good soil verses bad soil. Take care! Crystal

Well Jane (you murderer!) you've just got to stay the course. Give those plants some good old CPR and carry on...
In all seriousness (what? From me!? Not a chance...), we have an opposite situation. Our plants won't go to fruition. We planted them at the end of AUGUST and they're still going strong. Just this week we are getting some white in the yellow flowers and pods are shaping up. ours is a Slow Plants activity. Volunteer weeds have come and gone since we got started some sixty and more days ago. but hey, I'm not bitter. I don't think for a minute that Dr. Jones switched packets of seeds when I wasn't looking, Why, I hardly ever blame sabotage for my unlucky outcomes. But hey, if I find anybody tinkering with those Paul Williams plants, he or she's gonna get a tubesock filled with woodscrews upside the head. What else is new at your end? Me, I'm getting some powerpoint training now. If I end up back in the MTP mix in 2007 some poor unsuspecting souls will be sitting through some of my Japanese history!
