Tomales High School, and by extension, Shoreline High School, used Monday as a teacher workday. We stayed busy organizing ourselves for our WASC accreditation cycle. (I think WASC stands for Western Association of Schools and Colleges. I went through it for Shoreline High last year.) It was nice to start the week out with students on Tuesday. We end our semester on December 22nd. The last two days are minimum days. The last five days prior are what we call "dead week". That won't change the life and culture in woodshop, but it will focus our photography students. They need to come up with some tasty powerpoint presentations of their semester photographs. Music and sequence need to fit with the theme. They all have things to do. Me too. Two of my students are sisters. They borrowed my tasty new digital camera (the Canon Rebel XT) for the 5 day weekend and then were absent Tuesday and Wednesday. That should be a relief for all the good people who read xoops and would rather not have to wade through a photoshoot of the author's disfunctional extended family and his "cute as a button" pets. Instead I'll root around in the archives for some staledated photos that somehow escaped posting. Cheers, Jim
