It was Mister Toad's Wild Ride Tuesday evening. We went from Festoon to Skype to Yahoo to Instant Messenger and back to Skype. I got to see Nakano and Dr. Jones, soeak with Gail and both see an d talk to Karen before we went to an audio group conference. It was well worth the time (even though I got locked inside the campus, the custodian having left before I did). Karen just returned from Saudi Arabia. It was a kind of MTP with armed guards. No wandering off to shop for a string of pearls...I can't wait to check it out!
Yesterday I took a group of students to S.F. via school bus and the Larkspur Ferry. We left Tomales at 8:30 and rolled back here nine hours later (with our tongues hanging out). I didn't leave myu heart in San francisco, but I did leave my jacket. As I recall, I took it off because of the "shirt sleve" weather and walked away from it to take a photograph. I never looked back. I made some calls today, but it never turned up. I hope it went to a good cause.
We visited the Pacific Hetitage and Wells Fargo Museums before we let the students talk us into Fisherman's Warf and Pier 39. Some of you may know this, but SF has a trolly car exchange with other cities. Th F Muni ride is apt to be from just about any city that has trolly cars. We took one down th Hyde Street that was from Milan, Italy. Talk about as bussman's holiday!
Everyone got along famously and all sorts of friendships were cemented. Young love: that gossamer web!
When I got home Carol and both our mothers were over for dinner. It was Pat's 90th birthday and the old dears had a good excuse to get into the champange. I was ready for bed at midnight. Today I'm dreaming of a nap.
