Greetings from the first day of the second month. I dropped Max off at the vet's on the way in today. He went in a week ago for an abscess. A hundred dollars and a week's worth of meds later, he's back to see if it's a tooth. The vet promises it'll be under $600 this time. I'm thinking that cat study would make a great pair project. I could pay the vet with my stipend...it's a thought, albeit not a good one. Kiwame and I had a nice skype with my photography students l6th period yesterday. We decided to try and move the time of our final conference to something that would make sense to where our students would be at the time. We also thought to check with MTP regarding to changing our pair project to a different topic for the second year. Dr. Jones called me at home last night and we ironed out all those details and more. We plan to check out our technilogy today and Monday to make sure it's up and running. Mark, our tech, is working on Yahoo Instant Messenger today in an effort to figure out why it stopped working here at school. In other news, one of my friends just purchased a cabin in Monte Rio, not far from my cabin. This Sunday our Bridge/Poker/Men's group will gather there to celebrate the Super Bowl (and maybe squeeze in a bike ride. 41 days from now the 07 MTP group gathers in St Louie. My itinerary for the study has been sent off. Over the years I've learned to call wine tasting something like taking a tour of Napa Valley agriculture. Soaking in Calistoga sounds better if we are exploring local geothermal sites. We are all looking forward to the Japanese visitors once again this year. Cheers, Jim McElroy
