WHile the mealy bugs began to munch on our FastPlants, we did harvest some dandy seed pods. Basically, the kids crossed the mutant plants with the normals....using dried bees to pollinate. Yes, put a dried bee on a littrle stick and dab away. Anyway, the kids kept track of which plant they crossed theirs with - normal and normal, normal with mutant, or mutant with mutant. We will put the pods in to a couple of ziplocks and put them in the frigs for a winter's nap.
In March we plan to plant again and see what our grandkids look like.
What fun...can you tell from the pictures below?
