March 22. This morning we went to Schoolcraft college. While there we saw many of the vocational programs the college offers. It was expained to our guests that this was a community college and that it is sponsored by the community and is less expensive for people living in the community. After the visit we returned to hillside and visited a few more classes or different age levels. Nakagawa-san and Yamaki-san di a few magic tricks for my students then gave a mini lesson on Kendo. My students had many questions about Japan and it's culture!! At the end of the day our principal ,presented them with a gift of an american flag and letter from our congressman.
March 23. We visited the Detroit Zoo today. It was a busy day and we got to go behind the scenes to see how many exhibits are worked.
