The teachers at Bellwood, no matter how busy with a new principal and the latest report that we'll be moving to a newer school building next year...changes, changes, changes!!!...are excited about having Kushiro's assistant principal visit.
Teachers have signed up for times for Mrs. Fukuoka to observe. Parents will take her to Nashville for somehonors and around town to educational museums and good eating spots. We certainly wish she could stay longer. Murfreesboro weather at this time is very changeable. One day it might be in the 70's and sunny and dry, while the next might be chilly, rainy and cold. Our activities will hinge, naturally, on this. Nonetheless, the highlight will be taking her trick or treating with a bevy of excited Bellwood students. I cannot imagine how much fun this will be. More as it unfolds.

Bellwood? Who teaches there? I forget...and I left my cheat sheet/directory at school. It would really help me if a good half of the MTP group signed their postings, because I don't know most of you by school name.
Carol and I just returned from chaperoning the Homecoming Dance at Tomales High. We had a good turn out on a nice warm Indian Summer evening. There was time to snag an Old Chicago pizza on the way home through Petaluma (you can pet a dog, but you can't Petaluma). Peggy Sue Got married was filmed on those quiet streets. My French speaking wife suggests that if Petaluma was a French word, it would mean "lighted fart". Fortunately for all of us it's not from the French. It may be Pomo or Miwok, meaning" I thought you invented the wheel?" or something. It's been a grand day. All the cabinets I have on hand are built and ready to hang. The lowers are set, and we had time to drive to the dance via the cabin out in Monte Rio. Leaves are starting to turn and the Broad Leaf Maples are starting to put on a show.
