また、４月の「マスターズ」で、日本人史上最年少で予選を通過し、ローアマを獲得。さらに11月の「三井住友ＶＩＳＡ太平洋マスターズ」で優勝した松山は、テーラーメイドR11sドライバ 2007年の石川遼、青木功以来となる特別賞を授与。表彰式に出席し、今シーズンのプロツアーでの目標について「予選落ちを一回もしないこと。（アマチュアの試合との兼ね合いで）プロの試合にも、R11sドライバ 時間があれば出たい気持ちは強い」と力強く語った。すると村上のベストスコアは「92」ながら、ドライバーの飛距離は最高で380ヤードと聞くと思わずビックリ。
