Just can't stay away

Today I had an opportunity to catch up on my journaling and begin work on my final report.
I had lunch with Junko sensei's 3rd grade class today. We were blessed with the presence of the translator from Kesennuma City during the afternoon. We worked on pair project planning. We only have 2nd grade to complete on Thursday morning! Last year we were working on this until the final moments and I believe there was a great deal of "lack of understanding" from my perspective. I am very, very grateful that I have had so much more time at Omose Elementary School this year, and I believe this has definitely been a contributing factor to better communication. Danita,
I understand your relief. My partner and I had not sat down to discuss our plan and it was really getting to me. But, we have met for several hours with an interpretor and I feel GREAT about it! We have many wonderful cross cultural experiences planned. See you soon! -Annika
