Central Elementary School
Thursday, June 29th
We visited Kagawa's University Affiliated Schools for Special Needs Students. The school`s principal, Mr. Iwamoto was very interested in American Special Needs Program. Dr. Takai, principal of Sakaide Elementary, served as an English translator during our tour of the school`s campus. We observed different elementary, Jr. High, and High School classroooms. Some of the activities/skills observed were swimming, knitting, gardening, and job training skills were students assembled different packages for companies to purchase. The staff presented us with various gifts such as table center cloths that were packaged by the students and a beautifully knitted red and green rug.
