We have a new class member in room 83 at Cheyenne East High School. He is kind of small and hairy. Very friendly and energetic, and the students like him. He really likes to dig and is very curious (I think that is why his name is Snoopy). Any guesses? I will post his picture here in the next day or so.

Good guess, but one of his favorite foods (in the wild) would be a prairie dog.

McElroy has got to go with Mister Badger. Don't just stick your hand in the box, eh? Thay'll be calling you "Lefty". A puppy is too obvious. The real Snoopy is a native of Santa Rosa and there are statues of the cute little fella all over town. Charles Shultz (Peanuts fame) lived and died here. So did Jack London and Luther Burbank, but they didn't crank out cartoons about the VanPelt clan... My District Party photos are at school and I resized them prior to my homeward commute. Keep your eye on the xoops to see Carol and I cutting up the rug (with our walkers...) sometime tomorrow. Best, Jim

Yep, a ferret, just not the black footed variety. He frequently helps out with hall duty and seems to have a real fetish for bubble wrap. A badger would be a bit more of a liability to have around students.
JM is that you in one of those newfangled hybrid vehicles?

A few pictures of Snoopy (I did not name him). It seems to me that he earned his name because he really likes to get into things.

He was a pet that nobody wanted, so we adopted him. He is very friendly and really likes the students.
