McClelland 6th graders had a wonderful time investigating and searching for the insects, bugs, and worms living in their school ground. While the students were a little disappointed that there seemed to be a limited population of fluttery and wriggly creatures, they were delighted to hold and to see those creatures in their hands.
The weather was absolutely beautiful with clear blue sky. It was on Friday, September 29 and the temperature was in the 80's. Only patchy clouds! The participating class was divided into groups of four. Each group then marked off one square meter and got to work in search of any creature.
