We met Mr. Bill Dodds, assistant principal at Sebastian River High School and he took us on a tour of the school during the morning. We visited math and art classes and saw the gymnasium and auditorium. After the tour, Mr. Hiraoka and Mr. Kamikawa met with the principal, Dr. Peggy Jones.
We had a "Florida Cracker" lunch at the Marsh Landing Restaurant in nearby town of Fellsmere. Among other things we sampled were alligator tail and swamp cabbage.
In the afternoon we visited a few more classes at Sebastian River Middle School. We visited the art class where Ms. Middleton's Art Club students presented art presents they had made to the Japanese teachers.
Ms. Brown presented Mr. Hiraoka and Mr. Kamikawa with gifts from the school.
In the evening we attended a professional baseball game; a spring training game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Florida Marlins. The game was held at Holman Stadium in Vero Beach. We had the all-American baseball meal there: hot dogs.
