Well, we've survived the Fishermen's Festival ( suffering some sunburn and a longing to be back on a boat..) and a day pouring concrete out at the cabin.
I had to take Friday off to get my MTP medical taken care of. Appairently Spring Break brings a doctor shortage and it was all they could do to squeeze in a non-emergency. The whole process reminds me of Alices' Restaurant and how Arlo remarks that they "left no part untouched". Not only is there no comfort in this activity, but there's not much dignity in the process. But enough about me. I passed! The paperwork is in the mail and I'm on to the next thing: insect collecting. We had no computers till 2:00, so I hope to jump in tomorrow. Unfortunately we're scheduled for the Every Fifteen Minutes Program for the next few days ( shhh...it's a suprise! ) and I'm not sure how our time will be influenced. It would be nice to get everything up and running for a test before Spring Break. I'm keen to try Scype. I've got a sire, camera, microphone and headset to puzzle together. Does anybody want to be on the other end of the test? I'm at scype as jmcelroy7506. I'm not sure if anybody else needs to know that. Maybe I'll try to go on line at 2:00 PST tomorrow ( Tues. ) and see what happens. This assumes that everything works! They say the best way to make God laugh is....to make a plan. With my new concrete slab and anchors curing now, I'll be able to build the new stairs next week as part of a work week in Monte Rio. It's always something around here. Before any of those adventures start, I've somehow been talked into hosting the Easter Family dinner. It's time to clean the house again. Cheers, Jim McElroy
