I visited the downtown brass today. She was sweet and gave me a Tobeyaki coffee cup and saucer as a keepsake of our time together. I returned to sport my favorite new thing at school lunch (pictured on my desk in the faculty room). There is also a shot of the art tracher running her class. All the boys are in love with her according to Vania. Tomorrow we'll brave the poisonous snakes to explore Sankason-izumi. The first word is the place name and the second means spring. This is probably the oldest pond in the area, predating Shakespeare. (Did you hear that Shakespeare didn't write all those plays and sonnets? They were actually written by another guy named Shakespeare...) Best, Jim McElroy

You look great in pink. Nice gift. We see board and mayor tomorrow. have to "horse up." Hard to believe this experience is almost over. Had a blow-out party last evening...great sushi, lots of laughter, way too much beer and sake, and good conversation. I am missing them already.

Great cup and saucer! That'll be a nice keepsake. Can't wait to hear how things go at the pond!
A teacher at my school has an interest in antiques. I tried to get you a Japanese license plate- but he said it is impossible! Just like you had heard!
