Greetings everyone, Nanakuni Elementary School has a wonderful relationship with the local water authority. Twice during my time here the students have had the opportunity to learn first hand from water specialists. In a previous posting I uploaded a picture of sixth graders working on a water purification project here at the school. This past week, fourth graders walked to a nearby construction site where a huge new water storage and processing plant is being built. Over the course of two mornings all four fourth grade classes toured this site. The investment of time and knowledge on the part of the workers was very impressive. They worked at answering the students many questions like they had been doing it for years. Another great example of how this school partners with the local community! Bill Gilluly
