Shaun,
As I sat at my dining room table reading your report, tears slid down my face. You shared so much of the "human experience", and even though I have not been to Kushiro, the imagery was so vivid in my heart and mind. I, too, felt blessed to have returned to the same school; to what I feel is my second home. Although I was happy to arrive home to my family, I wish I could be in both countries at the same time. With every experience we have in life, we change, but I can think of very few instances in my lifetime that have affected me to the degree of this experience. The MTP experience is not easily reflected in words; in fact, I find it so difficult. Upon returning home, I just needed time to reflect before sharing. I wanted so much to be able to close my eyes and relive each moment, and hang on just a little longer before I spoke, as if when I spoke, that I would be truly "looking back" and admitting that the moment had passed.
I also feel blessed to have met you. You may never know what your "adoption" of me during MTP05 meant. You set an example to follow. Thank you Shaun! Have a wonderful year, and best wishes for a successful project.

It was nice to see your report tonight when I returned from the family picnic. It's too late to read everything tonight, but I'll dig in tomorrow. I enjoyed the photos and what I skimmed. A woman at our reunion/family today picnic was in Sendi ( am I spelling that correctly?...send-die...send-dye...). Anyway our local Catholic Girl's School does a student exchange there and this woman teaches there (Urseline). I'll have to look into this more. Seems to me somebody in our group was in Sendi, but I couldn't find any evidence or location clues in our MTP Directory..Like I said, it's late. Best, Jim
