Central Elementary, AL
Our first video conference was Monday, October 16, 2006. The students at Central Elementary School (CES) were anticipating their first encounter with the students at Sakaide Elementary School. CES students had prepared welcome signs, US flags, posters and many exciting visual aids and activities for our partner school to view. Central Elementary was able to establish video and audio connection with Sakaide Elementary. However, due to technical issues, Sakaide was unable to establish video connection. So basically, we had to utilize audio conferencing only. CES students were very disappointed not to see the Japanese students but they were jovial to hear their voices over audio.
