5th grade students from Omose and Callisburg Elementary Schools met via webcam on Thursday, November 16, 2006. We had approximately 35 students stay after school, watch a movie, eat pizza, and then join Mrs. Ortowski in her classroom for the conference. There were many parents present as well. We used Skype. The audio and video were clear.
The students shared details of their food chain/food web investigations. Students shared about a typical school lunch, and Callisburg discussed where we get each selection from that is in our Taco Salad Lunch Menu. Callisburg Students enjoyed learning answering questions posed by Omose Elementary Students about their forest-river-ocean studies. Looking back on this video conference, I would like to say a special thanks to the 5th grade teachers, students, Mrs. Nini and Mrs. Wallace for their support during the conference.
