On Wednesday evening I was fortunate to arrive at the M Street Hotel just in time to greet the Japanese teacher group as they arrived from the airport, although I did not recognize Hayashi-san and Sakaruda-san until the next morning at breakfast.
We enjoyed getting to know each other during the orientations and sight seeing. I especially enjoyed the science workshops on Saturday as the Fast Plants, Soils, and Bugs/Plants sessions were all excellent. Early on Sunday morning we were in a taxi heading for Dulles Airport for the short flight to Detroit.
