Tuesday, June 13th
Central Elementary School
Today we participated in a Tea Ceremony at the Shinagawa History Museum where we learned about the different rituals and practices. We were able to tour parts of the museum and took pictures of the outside scenery which was quite impressive. Later that afternoon, we assembled at Tama University for a program where Julia Jones presented information that pertained to living in a Japanese Community followed by a shopping experience with the students from Tama University Junior High and High School. The students showed us how to locate and purchase different items within a multi-level shopping store.

I enjoyed your submission, but don`t really associate faces with schools. Having read several postings I realize that without photos, I can`t be sure who is writing without a name. I wonder if anyone else is having this difficulty...Cheers, Jim McElroy
