Central Elementary School (AL) Tuesday, June 20, 2006
Today, my administrator, technology coordinator, and I visited Sagawa University and met with the Dean of Education, Mr. Shinmi Osamu and Dr. Takai, principal of Sakaide Elementary School. Mr. Manabe, Sakaide's Assistant Principal, accompanied us on the trip. We discussed the teacher education program at Kagawa University. The Dean told us about the attached schools where perspective teachers are trained. Sakaide Elementary is one of the attached schools of Kagawa University. The Dean was also interested in teacher education in America. Central Elementary members presented him with a gift in appreciation for the visit. On the return trip, we visited Zentsuji Temple. Mr. Manabe's father, who is proficient in English, met us at the temple to assist us with communication.

It's nice that you guys are able to get out and about and visit a variety of places. I have some of those visits in my schedule as well and are looking forward to them.
