So, I see Tom. Is Tim behind the camera? It looks like you've got some tasty things ready to pop into the oven. The rainy season hit us at lunchtime. One could feel the fingers of the weather front passing through all morning. Hot and muggy would transition right into sticky and humid. Sometimes there would be a short window of cool breeze, just enough to get a flatlander's hopes up. But no... My dermatologist contacted me just before we left Tokyo with news that a suspect mole removal he'd collected before my departure was indeed melanoma. I need to have the area exsized and he wasn't sure if I needed to return promptly or not. Today I received news that I can stay through the 20th of July and save the surgery for a little "welcome home" treat. It's all new territory for me, but I'm happy to finally know that I'm good to stay and participate with MTP. Just think of all the lives I'll touch... My garbage bags are filling up and it's amazing to see what I go through in a week. No wonder my house in California requires constant attention. There's a large, flesh-eating mammal hole up in there. My team took off for a Tokyo conference in the wee hours today, so I'm on my own through Monday. With umbrella in hand, I'm planning to ride the streetcars to the end of their lines and take the ropeline tram up to the castle. There's a museum or two that I want to tour and I'm looking to purchase a poster or two for home and school. Best, Jim McElroy
