Friday was an excellent day for me. I spent time in the morning with a special education class celebrating one of the student's birthday. I met two out of the three students in the class. One student, Kenya, is autistic. The other, Misaki, had a brain tumor removed. It was Misaki's birthday. We celebrated by singing "Obladi, Obada...." and playing the tambourine. We all decorated his birthday cake and had races with paper airplanes and cars the children had made. I presented Misaki with a present of a puzzle and some special pencils with erasers. The students made me two necklaces from origami, paper airplanes and also gave me two of the racecars from boxes and bottlecaps.
