The Regional Conference at Hiroshima was extremely worthwhile for me. I got to see the American teachers again and to spend some time with them. It also gave me an opportunity to learn more about the life of a Japanese teacher. Having been in Japan two years ago, there is still so much more to learn. My partner Mizu and I enjoyed dinner at the Japanese restaurant and also visiting the amazing high school. We managed to go to the art museum and see a Dali that I had only seen in books. After the conference we went to the Dome and saw the statue of Sadako and all of the paper cranes. Riding on the bullet train is also a treat, not to mention the delicious okinomiyaki that all of us finished. There wasn't a single piece of food left on our plates.

I was touched forever after visiting Hiroshima. The death and destruction is still beyond my comprehension.
