Sendai was a change from Kushiro, warm and humid. I must say I prefer the crisp, Maine-like weather here.
 Sendai was interesting in that we attempted a group video conference. This helped me to understand the logistics of group videoconferencing.We did have the local specialty, tongue, which was tender and delcious. We explored many restaurants -- and dare I say pubs -- tasting even flying fish, local beers, and other declicacies. Attached are some photos of the adventure. Notice the philosophical sign about socks and your inner self!! Jim, I think you have fertilizer in that bottle for all the stuff growing on your chest!! Our whole staff room saw me pull it up and had to look. You got us off to a great start.
