Sorry to hear about your mum and your unpleasant experience with our broken health care system. Thank goodness that your mum is out and recuperating. It is a shame that the richest country on the planet (never mind that China is covering our behind) is unable to devise a workable mechanism for delivering affordable health care to her citizenry. I better stop ranting before someone tagged me a socialist or worse yet an enemy combatant. After all some might question what rights has an African immigrant to complain about God's own country.

You are so right that traffic on XOOP has ground to an absolute halt and folks have simply withdrawn to their shells and not communicating at all. I even attempted to resurrect our yahoo group by urging people to check in on the site from time to time, all to no avail. Per our previous discussion you are welcome to visit us here in Miami any time and should we have any cause to visit your neck of the wood, we hope we can drop by a little re-union. Thanks for keeping the MTP flag flying. Please be safe as it appears that California is rapidly becoming a disaster zone with all the fire burning.

I hope everyone else is having a restful summer although we all probably miss Japan so badly. Perhaps we could source for grant money to keep the fun going.
